How CVMiner uses your Google account data
Connecting Gmail is optional — CVMiner works without it. If you do connect a mailbox, this is the complete extent of the access.
What we read
Only messages carrying resume attachments — PDF and Word documents matched by a search of your mailbox. We do not read or store the body text of your email.
Read-only access
We request the gmail.readonly scope and nothing more. CVMiner cannot send, reply, modify, label, or delete anything in your mailbox.
What we do with it
Attachments are parsed into structured candidate profiles — name, skills, experience, education — so your team can search them. Nothing is sold, shared for advertising, or used to train AI models.
Revocable at any time
Disconnect the mailbox inside CVMiner, or revoke access from your Google Account permissions page. Stored tokens are destroyed immediately.

How does CVMiner access my resumes?
You can upload resumes directly, or connect a Gmail mailbox. Gmail access uses a read-only OAuth permission (gmail.readonly) limited to finding messages with resume attachments — CVMiner can never send, modify, or delete mail. You control the search it runs, and you can disconnect at any time.
What file formats does resume parsing support?
CVMiner parses PDF, DOCX, and plain-text resumes, plus CSV exports from most major ATS platforms.
Is my candidate data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is scoped to your team, and we never share candidate data with third parties.
