Terms of Service

Acceptance

These terms govern your use of CVMiner — the web application at app.cvminer.in and this site. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

Our Privacy Policy forms part of these terms and explains how we handle data.

What the service does

CVMiner ingests resumes from sources you provide — direct uploads, or a Gmail mailbox you choose to connect — extracts structured candidate profiles from them using AI, and makes the result searchable.

Extraction and ranking are performed by automated language models. Output can be incomplete or wrong. CVMiner is a tool to help you find and organise candidates; it is not a decision-maker. You are responsible for verifying information before acting on it, and hiring decisions remain entirely yours.

Accounts

• You must be at least 18 and provide accurate registration details.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for its security.
• Tell us promptly at cminer.admin@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

Your content and responsibilities

You keep ownership of everything you upload or ingest. You grant us only the licence needed to store and process it in order to operate the service for you.

Resumes contain other people's personal data. By using CVMiner you confirm that:

• You have a lawful basis to collect and process the candidate data you bring in.
• You will honour those candidates' rights — access, correction, deletion — under whatever law applies to you.
• You have the right to connect any mailbox you connect, and to process the documents in it.

For candidate data you control, you are the data controller and we act as your processor.

Acceptable use

Do not:

• Break the law, or infringe anyone's privacy or intellectual property.
• Connect a mailbox you are not authorised to access.
• Attempt to breach, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the service or its infrastructure.
• Resell or redistribute the service without our written agreement.
• Use the service to discriminate unlawfully against candidates, or to make automated decisions about people without human review.

Third-party services

CVMiner depends on Google, OpenAI, Neon, Vercel, and Clerk. Your use of connected Google services is also subject to Google's own terms. We are not responsible for those providers' availability or actions, and outages in them may interrupt the service. The Privacy Policy lists what each one receives.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service. We do not guarantee uptime, and maintenance or provider failures may cause interruptions. We will give reasonable notice of material changes to these terms; continuing to use the service after they take effect means you accept them.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that extracted profiles or search results will be accurate or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CVMiner and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Termination

You may stop using the service and request deletion at any time by emailing cminer.admin@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or creates risk for others. On termination your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
